Leave administration is becoming more challenging every year as additional states pass laws related to job and income protection during an absence. This session will provide an overview of these statutory paid leaves, present and upcoming, including Paid Family Medical Leaves (PFML) and Paid Sick Leaves (PSL). The presentation will focus on both the legislative provisions, such as eligibility, leave duration and benefits, as well the practical steps needed to ensure compliance with existing and upcoming mandates. Administrative solutions will also be discussed, as in absence administration each organization has unique needs and states may have different options as to how employers can administer those leaves.
